- Shifted scientists' beliefs of how they saw and described Earth and the universe.
- Many discoveries in mathematics, astronomy, and physics contributed to the different worldview and also led to conflict in science and religion.
- Some main topics from the scientific revolution were; geocentric, heliocentric, doctrine of uniformity, Aristotelian system, and many more.

English Revolution

- Fought 1642-1651, the English Civil War saw King Charles I battle Parliament.
- The war began as a result of a conflict over the power of the monarchy and the rights of Parliament.
- As the conflict progressed, Charles was executed and a republic formed.
- Though Charles II was invited to take the throne in 1660, Parliament's victory set the nation on the path toward a parliamentary monarchy.
