Buddhism
Buddhism is a very interesting religion which started in India. Founded by Prince Siddhartha Gautama, also known as Buddha, who had an interesting journey on his way to discovering Buddhism. The symbol for Buddhism is to the left and is called the "Wheel of Life". Buddhism revolves on the Four Noble Truths; 1. Life is suffering, 2. Suffering has a cause: Craving & attachment, 3. Craving & attachment can e overcome, 4. The path toward the cessation of craving & attachment is following the Eight Fold Path. The Eight Fold Path will then take you to a state of Nirvana. Nirvana is the state of liberation from the cycle of life & death. Buddhism empathizes on experiencing and meditation. Buddhist usually meditate whenever they can at a temple. It is very likely for them to go on a full moon day. A Buddhist temple is called Vihara and food and flowers are placed in front of the Buddhist statue. The food is given to monks because they have no belongings and other Buddhists believe it will help them reach Nirvana. That is just a little bit about Buddhism, there is still so much to learn about it.
