Hinduism
Hinduism is the world's oldest religion to date. Hinduism has no founder but began in India; the Hinduism symbol is the Aum (pictured above). It was started India and is based from the Vedas. Hindus believe in one God called Brahman, but they believe he takes other manifestations of gods or goddesses so they worship many gods. They practice their worship in temples. The three main deities are Lord Brahma (creator), Lord Vishnu (protector), and Lord Shiva (destroyer). A Hindu's goal is salvation. The four sacred books of the Hindus are Rigveda, Samaveda, Yajurveda, and Athraveda, also known as the Vedas. The Vedas are written in Sanskrit, which is considered the mother of all languages. There are may aspects to a Hindu's life, such as eating habits. Most Hindus are vegetarians. Also, they have important festivals, including Diwali, Vijayadashami, Guphiadawa, and many more. They have 16 stages of life as well. Plus, they follow 8 Vedic restraints, such as truthfulness, no stealing, honesty, etc. In addition, they believe in Karma and reincarnation. There is so much to learn about Hinduism.
